Campout with Dad at the Topeka Zoo!

zoo-card I’d like to thank everyone who came out to the Topeka Zoo for Father’s Day weekend and camped out overnight in the zoo.  We had a lot of fun taking pictures of everyone.  In addition to the portraits on Saturday, we also wandered the zoo shooting candid photos of guests as they visited the various attractions.

There’s a Belly Dancer in the House!

amy_sm I’d like to thank Amy for a great session this past weekend.  Amy won a free session at the “Shimmy for the Cure” event in October and drove in from Manhattan.  Originally planned as an in-studio shoot, it was just too nice of a day outside to keep us contained and we headed out into Downtown Topeka for some outdoor photos in the alley behind the Jayhawke Theater.

Amy is a belly dancer and we had a fun time as she danced the halls and antique elevator of the Historic Columbian building where our studio is located. She brought along some beautiful and colorful veils that were tossed into the air and captured on camera as they floated down.
